A white December!

Sorry for the lack of news updates, things have been a bit busy.

The first few weeks in December saw a cold front arrive and our area saw snow, low temperatures and most of the water bodies froze. This caused problems for our wildlife and I attended 5 lost and very cold swans in ten days.

Thankfully after being given shelter and some yummy food and after the worst of the weather passed, they bounced back nicely.

One rescue involved a very long drive along field margins (with the landowners kind permission) in thick fog and snow to recover a cygnet, spotted by Jo on her dog walk, who was laying in a field unable to move.

Below are photos from some of the other rescues I attended. Thankfully, the cold spell has passed and we are back to "glorious" English rain!
